Recordings of interviews, performances of songs, and dubs of commercial recordings relating to the Silver Bay Suspension Bridge disaster at Point Pleasant, W. Va., 15 Dec. 1967, in which at least 36 people died. Included is a 1970 interview with Rev. Ray Anderson, and songs about the Silver Bay Suspension Bridge disaster by Ray Anderson, Ray Anderson with the Roar Family, Richmond Dale, Charles Alexander with the Carolina Five, Cecil Pigott, the Sunday Creek String Band (vocals by Mike Watson and Richard Straw), Jim Stout, the Barnett Brothers (Wayne and Bobby), and the Three J's. There are also recordings of Ray Anderson and the Osborne Brothers, and of Billy Cox, a West Virginia old-time musician, singing and playing ballads, blues songs, and religious songs, and an interview with Cox.
